Our mission is to bring together relevant content from industry leading experts to help our members solve the problems of their everyday lives. We will endeavor to do this by providing our members concise information in a format that matches their learning style.
Our Founders
Chris Hanna
Mr. Hanna was most recently a Vice President for a medical device startup company, Neuro Resource Group. His responsibilities included developing the corporate vision and strategy as well as the implementation and management of the tactics necessary to realize the corporate vision. He was also responsible for writing the company’s business plan, managing all information technology resources, and manufacturing processes. Mr. Hanna helped NRG raise over $12 million in private equity funding. Prior to Neuro Resource Group he was one of the top revenue generating consultants for Lexmark International. He earned numerous performance rewards including North American Consultant of the Year for 2004 and the prestigious Diamond Award for outstanding consulting and revenue achievements. He has extensive experience as a Regional Manager of the Dallas office of TechLaw, a technology consulting company dedicated to the unique requirements of law firm operations. As the most profitable office in the company, Mr. Hanna guided the implementation of many diverse network, operating systems, databases, document management systems, and enterprise resource planning solutions. He also was a Systems Engineer for Carter Burgess, a civil engineering design firm. He began his career as an accountant for the Resolution Trust Corporation where he analyzed public auction disposition contracts of failed savings and loan institutions’ real estate assets.
Mr. Hanna earned his Bachelor of Science in Financial Management, with a minor in Speech from Clemson University in 1991 and his MBA from the Cox School of Business, Southern Methodist University, in December 2002.
While earning his Master’s Degree, he won the 2003 Southern Methodist University Business Plan Competition, and was a finalist representing SMU in the Rice University National Business Plan Competition.
Sean Mathena
Mr. Mathena is currently a Managing Consultant with Trustwave, a leader in the information security industry. He has assisted multiple Fortune 500 companies comply with credit card industry regulatory security requirements in over 12 countries.
Prior to Trustwave, Mr. Mathena worked as a Senior Consultant for Jefferson Wells, an international technology risk management audit firm. In this role he helped companies manage their security risk and protect their business critical technology assets.
Before joining Jefferson Wells, Mr. Mathena founded and managed The Mathena Group, a computer security consulting firm. The Mathena Group was profitable for the entire four years of its life, while providing security services to small and medium businesses as well as Fortune 500 companies.
Early in his technology career Mr. Mathena worked for technology consulting companies Whitmann-Hart, MarchFIRST, and EDS. He also was the Chief Information Officer for the law firm Winstead, Sechrest, and Minick.
Mr. Mathena is a veteran of Operation Desert Shield/Storm with the First Cavalry Division of the United States Army, where he earned the Army Commendation Medal for his role in leading a four man fire team.
Mr. Mathena has started or participated in the formation of several other enterprises, and is actively involved in his community. He currently serves on the Dallas Junior Chamber of Commerce Foundation Board as President, and is active in several industry groups. He is married to his wife of thirteen years and has two children.
Mr. Mathena holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from LeTourneau University, the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) designations.
